One of the few events that was not cancelled this weekend was the 2020 Saskatchewan Trappers Association Convention.

On March 14 the Saskatchewan Trappers Association held its annual convention at the Humboldt Uniplex.

The annual convention featured trap displays, retailers, fur auction companies, trap setting, trap safety, skinning demonstrations and pelt preparation for auction. Trappers could learn about ways to help improve skills or learn skills they've never used before.

"Someone there knows something there whether you're having problems with pests or just want to get involved, we could answer everything from A to Z on how to help you," said Al Killoh, zone director with the Trappers Association.

Saskatchewan's Trappers Association represents 4-thousand trappers in the province. The goal of the association is to make sure their trappers are professionals, not only for a trapper's sake but also for the animals that are to be harvested.

This year was the fifty-first year the convention has been running.
