The International Star Registry has gained 16 names as Saskatchewan trucker, and former hockey commentator, Blaine Davies has found a unique way to memorialize the Humboldt Broncos team's accident victims. Davies has succeeded in arranging to have stars officially registered in their names, one in memory of each person who passed away in the crash last April.

These 16 stars are all located within the same section of the Ursa Minor constellation, also known as the little dipper, a constellation that is visible year-round from all over Canada. The International Star Registry packages in each victim’s name were presented to of the families on Friday at the Hockey Day in Humboldt event.

The International Star Registry was created almost 40 years ago, and "the stars will now hold a special place in the hearts of Broncos supporters everywhere,” said Blaine Davies.
