The Saskatoon General Investigation Section of the RCMP is looking for the public's help in solving a rash of ATM thefts in rural areas across the region.

Since December of last year, 11 automated teller machines have been taken from businesses in rural Saskatchewan surrounding the Bridge City. In some of the instances the machines have been recovered empty in ditches along rural roads.

A call to the RCMP has not been returned in regards to exactly where the thefts have occurred but the owner of the Allan bar posted on social media that their machine was swiped about two weeks ago.

The Mounties are reminding business owners to ensure their cameras are working and have sufficient lighting around their buildings and machines. The public is being asked to be vigilant in reporting any activity that may appear suspicious, especially in the early morning hours.

If you can provide any information regarding these crimes or others call the GIS section at 306.975.5748 or call Crime Stoppers at 1.800.222.8477.
