The crews at SaskPower are busy working to solve the power outage problems in Humboldt and surrounding areas.

"It's the same issue we've been seeing across the province for the last few days. There's an extensive buildup of frost on the power lines. The frost is adding a lot of extra weight, causing them to sag and in some cases break," said a representative from SaskPower.

An estimated time of restoration to all areas was not known at this time. However, SaskPower did state, "It's a matter of patrolling the lines, trying to find where the actual down lines are and taking care of repairs at that point."

The power is still out, or continues to go out in areas including Humboldt, Anaheim, Bruno, Middle Lake, Wynyard, Wadena, Foam Lake, Cudworth, Wakaw, Rose Valley, and Watson, among others in surrounding areas.

SaskPower advises citizens having power issues to monitor Twitter as they are updating service announcements using that platform.
