A white-tailed buck that was shot and killed and had its head cut off has SaskTip turning to the public for information.

They say that on December 3, Conservation Officers out of Greenwater received a report of the headless buck in a ditch, eight kilometres northwest of Bjorkdale.

Officers noted that the deer had been shot, dragged to the ditch, and had its head removed, with the body being left behind.

They are hoping that someone who was passing by may have noted any vehicles that were parked along the highway on that day.

Tips can be reported to 1-800-667-7561.
