A wacky weekend of weather created unwanted road conditions on area highways that slowed traffic down many times.

Friday's snowstorm saw over 70 vehicle collisions reported in the province by RCMP departments. Fortunately, police say that all collisions resulted in only minor injuries.

On Saturday night, conditions returned, once again bringing traffic to a halt, having to navigate through snow drifts, icy patches, and blowing snow.

That carried over into Sunday morning, where local RCMP detachments were once again alerting the public to use extreme caution if traveling.
