An exhibit trailer was set up in the Humboldt Public School parking lot on Monday where grade two, three, and four students were taught about agriculture and growing.

The program, called Seed Survivor, is put on by Agrium. Presenter Kayla Gelowitz explains more.

"It's aimed at teaching kids more about the agriculture that's happening all around them, and that they are actively participating that by eating food every day, and by wearing clothes that are produced from plants."

She tells more about what the kids get to do.

"They get a 30-minute presentation, as well they get to plant their own sunflower. They get to take them home and put them in salads and sandwiches. They sprout really fast which is awesome."

Gelowitz adds that they also get to spend 30 minutes inside the trailer where they participate in educational games.
