The sentencing hearing will begin today in Melfort, Saskatchewan for Jaskirat Singh Sidhu of Calgary.

There have been 75 submitted victim impact statements and 65 of them will be read aloud throughout the hearing days.

Sidhu who was charged with 16 counts of dangerous driving causing death and 13 counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm, in the Bronco Bus Crash from April 6th, pled guilty on January 8th.

The sentencing hearing is scheduled for five days at the Kerry Vickar Centre to allow space for all those who will be attending.
