Three of the surviving Bronco players will soon have a companion and extra support in their lives.

MSAR Elite Service Dogs has been training three dogs for the past few months for three of the individuals that were involved in the Bronco bus crash. The families were in contact to set the ball in motion and thanks to the Elijah Harper Service Dog Award with MSAR these dogs, which typically cost around $25,000.00, will be free to the families.

George Leonard, Head Trainer with MSAR Elite Service Dogs talks about the different types of dogs and PTSD, "there are six type of PTSD and four types of PTSD dogs, we are basically the people who invented these types of dogs for Canada because the training that goes into these dogs is going to be ongoing. The first one that's getting ready here is Chase and we're going to introduce him to Grayson this weekend." Leonard goes on to talk about the trips back and forth and the multitude of training sessions that are involved with the dog and also with Grayson.

The dogs are not for everyone, there are certain things that need to be in place for individuals regarding the abilities to benefit from a service dog. "A dog is not a magic bullet, a dog is an assistance and a tool in the toolbox that is going to help you, but you need to make sure you have your mental health prepared, you to need to make sure your doing all those things your supposed to do to make yourself healthy because you now have a dependant."

The dogs will be able to help with nightmares, panic attacks, support, and act as a stepping stone and allow the individuals to bond and creative chemical reactions in the brain.
