St. Gregor's Shake, Rattle and Roll motorcycle rally for parkinson's disease is coming off of yet another great event over the weekend.

Organizer Wanda Kiefer said the 2017 edition of the rally was a big success, "the weather was perfect, we had sixty bikes riding and we had another six or so join us at the hall throughout the day, we had a few passengers on those so in total we probably had well over 70 people participating the event."

She added that 300 people were at breakfast and 200 were in attendance for the supper and evening activities.

"We figure we raised over $20,000 in the day," said Kiefer.

After seven years, Kiefer said they want to take a break, "We just would like to pass on a huge thank-you to everybody for their support in the past seven years and we are taking a break, this is going to be our last one, we are exhausted and need to sit back for a little bit."

All of the money raised from the Shake, Rattle and Roll goes directly to Parkinson's Society Canada and to the Doctor Rajput endowment for movement disorders in Saskatoon for Parkinson's research.

More can be heard from Kiefer in her full interview with Bolt FM's Angie Dukart.
