Bar-b-cues and baseball seemed to be two popular past times over the last seven days, we were live on location for a few fundraising events including Sask Central Victims Services and Tourism Week in Watrous plus a trio of communities held minor baseball days.

A bar-b-cue was held Wednesday in Watrous to celebrate Tourism Week.

Students from LeRoy School once again held their Support the Cause Walk on Tuesday. You can read more here.

As part of Victims and Survivors of Crime Week Sask Central Victim Services hosted a bar-b-cue at the Humboldt Co-op food store.

Former Humboldt Collegiate Institute graduate Avery Lukan(left) discusses his chair design that was showcased during a launch of the Gallery's new exhibit which features a number of pieces from current HCI students. Lukan is currently attending Humber College in Toronto.

Wednesday was Tim Horton's Camp Day. Staff at the store had a balloon popping game for customers with all the funds raised going towards sending kids to camps across North America. The Humboldt store raised an estimated $4,000.

Issues with the train tracks behind Humboldt's Canadian Tire forced a number of railcars off the line. Road closures were in place into the late hours of Saturday.

The Watson Economic Development Committee held their 6th annual Spring into Watson event Saturday, it started with a well attended pancake breakfast raising money for their museum.

Also on Saturday, Big Brothers Big Sisters teamed up with the Diva for a Day golf event again at the HGC.

Despite the wind on Saturday, that didn't stop Humboldt(above), Wadena(below) or Bruno(bottom) from hosting minor baseball days with games all day long.
