The Sizzler Strut was a huge success Sunday.

Megan Parker was helping out at the event which began with a pancake breakfast at the Vintage Club.

"This year we had 104 runners participating in the kid's fun run, the five kilometre run/walk and the ten kilometre run."

In it's seventh year, Parker explained why they hold the event which is now the customary kick-off to Sizzler week.

"The Strut is to raise awareness for the community trails, so we're promoting the trails and we also do the Strut to promote health, wellness, activity, and family fun."

A pancake breakfast coincided with the run again this year as well.

Next year's event is already planned for June 10th.
