It's a tradition that gets everyone excited for Humboldt's biggest summer event; the Humboldt Sizzler Strut is this Sunday.

Runners and walkers alike will be gathering at HCI student parking lot tomorrow morning for the strut

Stacey Tremblay explains what races and walks will be taking place, and when.

"We've got a 5km and 10km race, and a kids fun run. All of those are starting at 9 AM. We're asking racers to be there at 8:45 for kind of a safety briefing. That's all going to be taking place at the HCI student parking lot for the start/finish line."

Tremblay describes how you can register.

"We're taking walk-up registration. The more the merrier, if you're looking to save some time the day of, you can still register online. You can visit http://humboldt.ca/trails, and follow the links there on that."

The strut also includes a pancake breakfast.

Tremblay describes the pancake breakfast.

"So we got a Trails Champion Pancake Breakfast, running from 9 until noon. That's going to be at the Curling rink and all proceeds there are going to be shared between Humboldt Community Trails and Calico Gymnastics Club."

Proceeds from the strut and breakfast goes to support the Humboldt Community Trails.

The Sizzler officially kicks off Wednesday with Chris Culgin performing in Civic Park.
