Fundraising efforts for the Humboldt and District Kinettes continue on Thursday.

The organization is teaming up with the Humboldt Co-op and Scotiabank for a chicken and wedges lunch.

Jodie Molsberry with the Kinettes says they are offering one piece of chicken and wedges for five dollars, or two pieces for seven dollars.

"Everybody's got to eat and who doesn't like chicken," she added.

The lunch will be held from 11:30am to 1:00pm at the Co-op Food Store.

Molsberry says they are excited to have Scotiabank on board as well.

"We're volunteering to be there and Scotiabank is also sending a few people to help out. They're going to be able to match our donation, so it will be more money going back into the community."

Funds raised will continue to be used in the community.

The Kinettes are also looking forward to their next big event, when they welcome golfers in early June.

"We have our Diva for the Day golf tournament on June 3rd. We're partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters. It was a huge event last year and we are really looking forward to it."

The tournament is a nine hole event with an auction of caddies and brunch. The entry fee is $75 per golfer.
