Cool, wet weather slowed harvest progress down somewhat over the past seven days.

Saskatchewan Agriculture's Weekly Crop Report shows that the east-central area is now 92% wrapped up on operations for the fall. That is up from 89% a week ago.

The five-year average for this time of year is 85%.

Grain is reported as coming off tough and is being placed into aeration, according to the report.

Topsoil moisture conditions are improving, and on cropland is rated as five percent surplus, 53% adequate, 37% short, and five percent very short.

Crop damage for the week is being attributed to strong winds and some frost.

Across the province, 94% of the harvest is complete, which is up from 89% the week prior.

The southwest is furthest ahead and nearly complete at 99% done. The southeast and west-central areas are at 97%, the northeast is at 92%, and the northwest comes in at 87% wrapped up.
