With the largest snowfall of the year last weekend, public works of Humboldt has been hard at work to make sure the streets are clean for citizens.

Snowfall ended on Saturday afternoon as crews were out at 4 PM, throughout the night, and into Sunday. Priority one and two areas where cleaned out in a good amount of time. Public works are now moving into residential areas over the next few days.

"We understand and respect the travel that needs to go on throughout the city, so the sooner we can get the snow out of the way so people can go about their business, the better it is for everyone," says Peter Bergquist, director of public works.

Bergquist also stated that removal went fairly smooth considering the amount of snow that came down over the weekend. The last areas that need to be cleaned should be completed over the next few days.
