It may still be frosty outside, but snowmen were the theme inside during a paint night fundraiser.

St. Dominic School held a painting class fundraiser in support of the School Community Council on February 11th.

"We had 34 people come out to paint and it was for anyone from the age of five all the way to adults. It was primarily St. Dominic school students but we had a few students from other schools as well. We opened it up to anyone that wanted to come and participate," said Cathy Zimmerman with the St. Dominic School Community Council.

Royal Bank was able to get in on the fun as well and supplied a generous donation.

"RBC partnered with us, so they provided three volunteers from the Royal Bank here in Humboldt and gave us a $1000 grant to go along with our fundraising from the actual painting. This is a huge donation which we are very grateful to be receiving."

The class was instructed by Yvonne Gebauer and snowballed into a great success for the St. Dominic School Community Council.
