The Government of Saskatchewan has announced pick up locations for Social Services cheques in the event of a Canada Post strike.

On Thursday, the union that represents Canada Post employees sent out a 72 hour strike notice, making it possible that a work stoppage could come by Monday.

Monthly cheques will be available for collection at various stops across the province on Tuesday and Wednesday.

For residents of Humboldt, pick up can be done in Saskatoon at City Centre Church, 720 20th Street West. A full list of where you can pick up your cheque can be found here.

Those on the Saskatchewan Assistance Program, Transitional Employment Allowance, Saskatchewan Assured Income for Disability and Cognitive Disability and Approved Private Service Home level of care can have their cheques picked up.

If you are picking up a cheque, they ask that you bring photo identification or two other forms of ID.
