A special weather statement is in effect for the area including Wynyard, Wadena, Lanigan, Foam Lake, and Watrous.

A low currently developing in Alberta will track to the northeast over the next couple of days. As the low tracks to the northeast, unpleasant weather is forecasted for Saskatchewan on Monday.

On the backside of the low, northerly winds of 40 gusting to 70 km/h are forecast to develop. These winds, combined with falling snow are forecast to bring reduced visibilities throughout southern Saskatchewan, incuding the Humboldt and surrounding areas, beginning Monday afternoon. Along with the blowing snow, most regions will see a falling temperature trend on Monday as cold air behind the low moves south.

Conditions will gradually improve on Tuesday.
Monitor forecasts and the highway hotline for details.
