It would be hard to imagine a more excited group of kids than the students and residents surrounding St. Augustine School.

They could hardly believe what was accomplished in just one day earlier this week when volunteers made a huge dent in the project on the first day of installation.

"It's very exciting," beamed committee member Kelly Soderholm Friday afternoon. "We started last weekend excavating, so taking out the old playground, getting the ground level. On Monday we started with the volunteers assembling with 1 Stop Playground."

She added they were very fortunate to have a number of local businesses help out along with Kelly Crozon, the owner of 1 Stop.

"We're just parents that feel passionate, we have a lot of parents that own businesses, from the Holtvogt's, to Tremblay Electric, to Tin Roof, there was so many parents that are helping out and had great assets to help making this so successful."

The $150,000 project is not quite finished so the committee is pleading to the public to stay off the structure, Soderholm admits it's hard for them to resist.

"It's been hard to keep the kids away, they have nothing but excitement and joy."

It will be complete and ready for use sometime next week.
