The St. Brieux and District Volunteer Emergency Services is holding a fundraiser this Saturday.

A household auction will be held at the town's recreation center beginning at 10am with the viewing.

Joe O'Dowd with the St. Brieux fire department talks about some of the items they will have on hand.

"There's everything from hockey gear to pool tables, from tools to dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, fridges. Basically anything you need for a house we have it up for auction."

The auction itself is scheduled to start at around 11 o'clock.

Food and beverages will also be available during the day.

O'Dowd says this event is important for them and it all wouldn't be possible without the support from the community.

"I would love to thank Winmar here in St. Brieux, basically they go in and fix up houses after flood and fire troubles. Basically they have donated everything to us, we would really like to thank them for that."

They will stay take donations, you can contact Lee Brockman at 921-7831 if you have anything of interest.
