The annual Campaign for Comfort for St. Mary's Villa has been launched, and the care home is doing their best to make it feel just like that, a home.

Currently, St. Mary's Villa is home to 85 beds for individuals requiring constant care. The goal of the Campaign for Comfort is to increase the warmth, comfort, and security of the care home and its residents.

"Our project for this year is to add to our ceiling track lift, purchase Roho cushions and mattresses, as well as continue to add to the homelike decor so it will feel more like a home and less institutional looking," said Donna Muench, Executive Director of The St. Mary's Villa Foundation.

"St. Mary's Villa Foundation works towards creating an environment where people can live full, abundant lives. This means we must venture down our own road and create physical environments that are closer to the ones we have at home, while still supporting the many challenges posed by disability, advanced age, and illness."

One example of the improvements St. Mary's Villa has done over the last couple of years was creating a family room where families can gather for different events and visits.

"This is their home, this is where they live, so we want to make it feel like that. We appreciate any amount of donations and it all goes to good use to help the comfort of our residents here at St. Mary's Villa."
