St. Peter's College in Muenster is set to launch the annual edition of the Society, Thursday night.

The Society is the school's literary and arts magazine, which is marking its 13th year.

Dr. Barb Langhorst from St. Peter's College directs the Writing Diploma program, chairs the Academic Council, and also teaches classes at the school. She explained what the Society is and what can be expected at the launch.

"It's a real collaboration between writers who are just beginning to find themselves, high school students, college students, and also we have entries from governor generals award winners, we have one from Tim Wilburn."

Langhorst added that the students play a large role in the production of the magazine.

"Our writing diploma students help us with all the details. It takes a lot of work to coordinate the Society."

The event, which also marks the end of classes, begins at 7:00 and will be held in the library. It is free to attend and there will be copies of the Society available.
