If you have short stories, poems, or photography and have an interest in getting them published, St. Peter's College could help.

The Literary and Arts journal, called "the Society," is an annual publication put together by St. Peter's students once a year as part of the their writing diploma.

Barbara Langhorst, the Academic's Program Manager with St. Peter's explains the guidelines for entries.

"The only requirement is the word limit really. We take submissions up to 1500 words, if it's poetry it's usually shorter than that. We evaluate the pieces, we screen them and we let people know after we've made our selections which ones we'll publish and which ones we aren't able to."

Langhorst says more information can be found online.

"It's mentioned on our website at stpeterscollege.ca and if they want to speak directly to me they can e-mail barbaralanghorst@gmail.com."

She says they are looking forward for the work to come in.

"We're looking for submissions, we're really excited. Usually they all pile in on the final day, which this year is January 18th. So go ahead and send it in. If your a few days late send it in anyways, we'll take a look at it and see if we can use it."

The submissions must be original, previously unpublished.
