Two teens are facing a total of six charges after they were arrested in Regina on Saturday following a spree of crimes.

Police say that the teens - a 16-year-old boy and 13-year-old girl - stole a vehicle in Wadena and drove to Regina.

At approximately 2:40pm, police were made aware of the stolen vehicle being spotted in Regina.

While in the Queen City, police say the teens kidnapped a female youth from a park, and hit a pedestrian who was trying to put a stop to the abduction.

Later, another hit and run took place, and police were able to find the vehicle at around 8:20pm after the report.

Following a shortly-lasted getaway, the boy and girl were arrested.

The boy faces charges of abduction of a person under the age of 14, assault with a weapon, failing to stop at the scene of an accident, failing to comply with an undertaking and possession of property obtained by crime. The girl faces one charge for possession of property obtained by crime.

Due to their ages, the duo won't be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
