The students of St. Peter's College Fine Arts department have work on display again this year at the Humboldt and District Gallery.

Every year the exhibit goes up at this time, Supervisor Jean Price says she can't even recall how long this partnership has been drawn upon.

"I am not quite sure exactly how long it goes back but I know it goes back quite a while," she explained on the eve of the opening. "They've done an annual exhibit with us long before the Gallery existed."

Price says a reason for the longevity of the partnership is that this exhibit goes over very well among the public.

"This is actually one of our really popular shows that we do every year. We do get a lot of community people in and we do get the students to come in once the show it's hung. We always ask that they introduce themselves to us and try and take a photo. A lot of them bring family or friends and a lot of the community comes in and supports this event as well whether they know the students or not."

The exhibit, which Price claims is spectacular this year will be on display until the end of the month.

"It's really colouful, it's really bright, it's really beautiful this year."

Grant McConnell will have a drawing course later this month at the Gallery as well coinciding with his students' work,, call 682-5226 to register or collect more details.

Clint Hunker's painting students' work is also part of the show.
