Floats of all kinds will take over Humboldt's streets on June 17th.

That's when the annual Summer Sizzler parade is taking place.

Stacey Poss of the Humboldt Chamber of Commerce says that the parade is great for everyone.

"They enjoy waving and saying hello to everybody. Everybody that participates whether watching or in the parade always enjoys themselves."

Poss goes on to tell us why people should enter a float.

"Participating in the parade for sure is just getting your business out there, your Canadian pride out there. This year is 150 years that we are celebrating so that's just a little extra to get involved. The parade is just something that I think everyone enjoys."

Poss also explains that there are awards for the best looking floats.

"Of course it will be a 150 scene and a primarily scene is red and white. Whoever does the best job or has fun with participating we are gonna have first and second prizes for that and of course creative business floats and non-profits as well."

There will also be an award for the Bolt FM announcers choice.

Poss added that businesses and organizations looking to participate in this year's parade should get their entries in quickly.

This year's Canada 150 theme will see floats take over Humboldt's streets on June 17th.
