Spring has sprung in the Humboldt region.

After some delays with seasonable temperatures arriving this April, the next five days will be dominated by high temperatures and sunny days.

Environment Canada meteorologist Terri Laing provides some analysis on the turnaround in daytime highs from the low single digits we experienced just a week ago.

"There's a big ridge that's going to rebuild in behind us over western Canada and what that does is tap us into the warmer air. We always like being on the good side of the jet stream where this ridge is building."

Tuesday highlights the next five days with a predicted high of 20, that is followed by a 17 degree summit on Wednesday.

Even though temperatures will drop to highs of 11 and nine degrees to close the week the sun is still the main attraction. As World Weather Inc. meteorologist Drew Lernar says, cloud cover may return next week.

"Precipitation prospects are very minimal across the region for a while, there will be a ridge of high pressure dominating the province, we don't expect to see much break down in that until a week from now."

Most daytime highs should be at least double digits to close April.
