The Saskatchewan Teachers Federation has recommended to the Ministry of Education that the teaching certificate for Erin Osmond Kaziuk be cancelled.

Osmond Kaziuk is a former Watrous teacher who in May of 2015 was cleared on two charges of sexual exploitation.

The charges were rung up when she shared a kiss with a 16-year-old student. Following her time as a teacher in Watrous, the relationship became sexual.

In the trial, it was detailed by the judge that there was no proof the kiss was sexual in nature, and that she was no longer in a position of trust or authority when their relationship turned sexual.

A deadline to appeal the decision for Osmond Kaziuk passed on July 10 without a submission.
