An 18-year-old man has been sentenced following the killing of a person on the George Gordon First Nation.
The man, who can't be identified due to committing the crime when he was 16, was charged with second-degree murder in the death of Clayton Cyr.
He has received a two and a half year sentence, which includes one year in secure custody, six months in open custody and a one-year conditional sentence.
Cyr was found dead in a shed in June 2015.
The accused pleaded guilty to manslaughter last December.
It was noted that the two did not know each other previously, but had gotten into a fight after drinking. The teen had also been taking drugs.
