The annual Terry Fox Run took place in Humboldt on Sunday morning.

11 years ago, the HCI girls soccer team took over organizing the event.

Teri Tarrant, the head coach of the HCI girls soccer team, had this to say about the event

"We just felt that it was really near and dear to our hearts to do it, and the girls jump on board every year because they feel its a good charity to support as well."

Each year, between 50 to 100 people attend the run.  Donations can be pledged online, but most participants in the run turn to the public for pledges and bring them to the event.

The run began at 11 o clock with a large crowd gathering outside of Midland Glass.

Attendees could participate in a 2k a 5k or a 10k walk run or bike ride as a part of the day.
