Thousands of people gathered in Humboldt Sunday night to remember the fallen.

A public vigil was held at the Humbolt Uniplex in memory of the 15 who died in the Humboldt Bronco bus crash this past Friday night.  The service was presented by the Humboldt Ministerial Association.

Crowds began forming outside the Uniplex at 4 pm, a full three hours before the start of the event.  The Elger Peterson arena filled to capacity quickly, and the overflow crowd was hosted in the curling rink.  Additional video feeds of the service were sent to St Augustine and the Humboldt Public School where others gathered to remember.

The services were attended by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Premier Scott Moe, Humboldt's Elger Peterson, whom the arena is named after, and many other national dignitaries including Hockey Night in Canadas Don Cherry.

Before and after the service, and throughout the proceedings, crisis counsellers where available for anyone seeking support.  They remain on site at the Uniplex for anyone seeking someone to talk to.
