Three Lakes School in Middle Lake is the latest beneficiary of a Ford Drive One for UR Community event.

On Sunday, Discovery Ford in Humboldt provided some new vehicles that were available for test drives and with every drive $20 was given to the School Community Council.

"We've partnered with Ford in the past for a few projects," SCC member Ryan Schnee stated during the event. "We partnered with them to raise funds for the school gym floor and a couple other projects as well and so we reached out to them again today to raise some funds for the school."

Schnee says they have a few demands for the money that was raised.

"Our SCC has been actively sourcing books for our library to keep our kids reading. We are continuing to work to make sure our playground equipment and grounds are in good shape so those things and educational trips as well."

Although there is no final tally, about $2,500 was raised during the day.
