If you received a parking tickets between November 10th and December 10th, you helped fund the City of Humboldt's Toys for Tickets Campaign.

Jennifer Brooks the City of Humboldt Community Development and Communication Director explained the campaign.

"Toys for tickets is an annual campaign that the City of Humboldt has implemented for the last 5 years. What happens over a certain time period any of the traffic violations and parking ticket payment amounts as well as additional cash donations are collected and donated to a local community organization to help purchase gifts and toys for youth in need over the Christmas season."

 Brooks was pleased to announce their final total was $420.

She explained the money has now be given to a local organization.

"PARTNER's Family Services is the community organization that helps manage the donation for the City of Humboldt. This year's proceeds will benefit the soup kitchen and their Christmas celebration for families which will include the purchases of gifts for the youth.

This is the 5th time the campaign has been run and has raised in $2400 over the last 5 years.
