Brent Walker, General Manager of the Humboldt Co-op confirms in a news release the tractor and auger involved in Tuesday's train collision were owned by the Co-op. The release confirms that there were no injuries sustained and that an internal investigation is underway.

The collision occurred at an uncontrolled level crossing approximately 5 kilometres east of Muenster on March 12th in the afternoon. The statement affirms the Co-op's commitment to safety as a part of Mission Zero.

SGI cautions vehicle operators to be extremely alert at all crossings, especially those that are uncontrolled. It states that vehicle collisions with trains lead to an average of 12 injuries and two deaths each year.
