Due to the extensive damage to the traffic lights at the intersection of Highways #5 and #20 repairs of the standard is taking longer than expected.

It took some time to assess the damage, especially the needed repairs for the concrete base.

A contractor has been hired and work will begin on February 15th. The light is expected to be fully repaired by the first week in March.

The intersection will remain a four-way stop until then.

Motorists are reminded to use caution when approaching the intersection or when the contractors are at the site.

The light standard that directs eastbound traffic on Glenn Hall Drive was ripped down by a semi unit in late January.
