Residents of Drake are doing what they can in order to help an immigrant family dealing with a major loss.

Kluzy Muyco passed away in early November in a single-vehicle rollover on his way home from work.

Allan Mosewich is a concerned citizen that contacted Bolt FM about the matter.

He describes what the family is hoping to happen.

"Kluzy's family would like to see him returned home to the Philippines to have a proper burial, a wake, and a funeral in the traditional way and cultural in his homeland, so he can rest in peace."

Mosewich explains what's happening in order to help the family.

"The immediate goal is to get Kluzy home, and there is a deadline for that. A Go-fund-me page has also been set up to support the family here in Canada into the future. You can find it by searching 'Muyco family tragedy' at gofundme.com"

Mosewich says anything helps the family at this time.

"No amount is too small; collectively it all adds up. Being in your thoughts and prayers helps. If you are able to share Kluzy's story, that is appreciated too."

No word yet on how much has been raised thus far.
