A trio of local musicians will be on stage in Marysburg for Saturday night.

Gerard Weber, along with Naomi Suchan and Kristen Raney will be performing at Marysburg Cathedral.

Weber describes what one could expect to hear at the concert.

"Mostly classical music, I've got a great collection for Saxophone and piano. There is a lot of music that's been written for Saxophone and piano, and then I've got Kristen Raney singing a few numbers with Naomi as well, and then we've got some plans to do a few numbers of our own."

Weber talks about how he started his love for music in Humboldt.

"So I started out in, I think it was Grade 6, back when Humboldt had a community band program. I was in that band program up until grade 8, and unfortunately that band program fell apart due to lack of funding."

Weber, a saxophone player, gives advise to those starting out.

"Just grab onto something you love, and stick with it, no matter what people will tell you. I was not very popular for picking an instrument like the Saxophone, especially playing classical music, and not playing a lot of Jazz."

Tickets are $15 each available at the door, and the concert starts at 7:30
