Curtis Vey of Wakaw and his lover, Angela Nicholson, will have their appeal decision released in the new year.

The pair, sentenced to three years in prison last September for conspiracy to commit murder, heard their appeal in Regina on Friday.

Vey and Nicholson were charged in 2013 when Vey's wife made a secret recording of their plan to set a house on fire and kill their spouses.

They had stated throughout the trial that it was 'simply talk' and neither would ever be able to commit such a crime.
