The Town of Wadena is correcting an oversight that led to three streets not appearing on online maps for years.

Pamela Wallin Drive, Jim Headington Way and Frontier Trail have all been christened over the years through bylaws.

In fact, Pamela Wallin Drive, formerly Railway Ave N, has been around since 1994.

However, the changes were never filed with the Information Services Corporation or the Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure’s Saskatchewan Road
Digital Road Network, according to a report to town council from Jennifer Taylor, community and economic development director.

That means the names don't appear on online maps.

Taylor told council she has submitted applications to have the street names officially changed, and once the plans are approved and updated, up-to-date information will eventually appear.
