The Town of Wadena has assembled a list of five priorities as it starts putting together its 2018 budget.

“The importance of the top five is really to help council sitting down and budgeting exactly what they want to get done in 2018,” CAO Ferne Hebig said.

The list, complied with submissions from council, management and staff, includes: developing an infrastructure plan, completing and maintaining walking trails, repairing and improving the pool, improving communications and engaging the community for ideas on providing evening activities for youth.

The goal is to complete all five ideas, so committees will figure out the cost and set up a plan to implement and monitor them, Hebig said.

The budget is expected to be finished by mid-March.
