It was raining teddy bears during the Broncos game on Sunday at the EPA.

After the first goal by the Broncos against the Yorkton Terriers, everyone in the stands threw their teddy bears for the Humboldt District Hospital Foundation.

The stuffed animals that were thrown on to the ice are used to help children in the local area that access services from the hospital. The teddy bears help by providing comfort to children during a time of fear in the hospital.

The Humboldt Broncos organize the event for the HDHF and advertise the event as well. After that, it's up to the fans to bring bears to support children going through hard times at the hospital.

"It was unbelievable! It was raining bears for a brief moment of the game. There were so many bears and people look forward to that moment with both young and old participating," said Lorrie Bunko, executive director of the HDHF.

This is the third year the teddy bear toss has taken place at the EPA.
