A sea of "Rider Green" filled up Glenn Hall Park field Sunday afternoon.

CFL superstars from the Saskatchewan Roughriders met with the Humboldt community for a practice, barbeque, and autograph signing.

Hundreds of spectators wearing every imaginable article of "Rider gear" clothing enjoyed the 'meet and greet' and the fans, young and old, came with smiles on their faces and left with new signatures on their jerseys.

"This is all about healing. We are in Rider Nation and if there's any way we can heal as an organization and as a community, it's certainly with our beloved Riders",  says Kevin Garinger, Humboldt Broncos president.

The Roughriders, like so many other sports teams, felt the impact of the Broncos bus crash, and the day provided an opportunity to bring some joy to the community going through the aftermath of tragedy.

"It definitely brings home the importance of never taking a day for granted and appreciating every day you have," says Brendon LaBatte, Rider offensive lineman.
