A Drinking Water Advisory issued on Thursday for select residents in Humboldt is likely to last through the August long weekend.

The City of Humboldt says that those affected include the 600 and 700 blocks of 15th and 16th Streets.

You would have received a yellow door hanger if that does involve your household.

Depressurization of the system occurred after a water main break was detected.

The Water Security Agency recommends boiling water to be used for drinking for at least one minute prior to use. That also includes brushing teeth, washing vegetables, and making ice cubes.

Those in need of water can take jugs to the Uniplex to access a clean and safe water supply.
