On Saturday Centennial Ford in Watrous teamed up with the Curling Rink to raise funds for upgrades and up keep up the facility.

Chris Dreger, a delivery specialist, with Centennial explains the goal of a drive one event.

"To raise $6000.00 dollars for the curling rink for their fundraising and to have a great time and drive some fords."

This is not the first time they have worked with the curling rink they have done one other one in the past.

Centennial Ford does the drive one events to help out the community. Dreger gives us the details.

"To give back to the community and involve ourselves in the community and be out there and to get people to come out and test drive and have fun."

The maximum number of test drives that could take place throughout the day was 300.

The curling rink in Watrous is a very active part of the community and with the partnership with Ford, it will certainly be a great help.

Jamie Regier, the ice technician at the Watrous Curling Rink, explains what the money will go towards.

"It takes a lot of power and energy to run the plant throughout the winter...So we upgraded to LED lights this summer, we are also doing lights throughout the building to help with the power."

The day was well attended with soup and sandwiches being served during lunch.
