The Watson Community Club is hosting a fundraising event on Saturday night with the Johner Boys headlining the entertainment.

The club is made up of ten women including Leslie McLeod who hold monthly meetings as well they host events to raise funds for various community groups and projects.

McLeod says they are excited for the cabaret at the town's Civic Centre.

"Doors open at 7:30, we've got Brad Johner and his boys coming to perform for a couple hours. We will have a dance, midnight lunch, we will have some silent auction prizes, we will have a 50/50 draw and a bar."

Tickets are $30/each with pre-purchase emphasized but not restricted to that. For tickets you can call Judy Schmid at 306.287.4271 or buy them at Green Thumb Florist in Watson.

Every year the WCC holds a meeting in the Summer and from there the members decide where their funds will go. McLeod says they have donated back to a number of Watson initiatives.

"We've contributed to the fire department, the library, the swimming pool, the golf course, many different organizations around our area we've given back to."

They are expecting a crowd of over 200 for the dance.
