With Easter time fast approaching, the Westminster United Church in Humboldt has decided to get a head start on egg sales this year.

Starting on Sunday, March 10th, custom painted Ukranian Easter Eggs, or Pysanky Eggs as they are commonly referred to, will be sold in part of a fundraiser for the church itself. The set price is 10 dollars per egg.

April Kozar with the Westminster United Church let us know just how the funds raised will help the building.

"Carol Oleksyn in one of our congregation members, and she makes beautiful Pysanky eggs each year. We decided to put this towards some landscaping projects that need completion upon Spring's arrival."

Kozar gave us some detail of the renovations that need to get done.

"We are more or less hoping to revitalize the front of our building, by planting fresh shrubs and removing any unwanted plants or weeds, really just small things like that. All of it adds up in the end."

The entire church population are very thankful for the donation from Mrs. Oleksyn, and look forward to updating the overall look of the building.
