A special weather statement in effect for the area is how we woke up Sunday morning.

This weather statement is due to snowfall that could accumulate Monday from a low-pressure system moving in from Colorado. Dan Fulton, a meteorologist for Environment Canada notes, "it's a pretty big system so the impacts will be felt in the eastern half of Saskatchewan."

Fulton tells us what we can expect in Humboldt and area.
"The worst will be to the east, what we're looking at is snow to develop on Monday and we're looking at an accumulation of 5-10 cm. That will vary depending on the exact track of the system, but I think that will be the maximum you will see in that area." The storm itself will be at its worst the further East you go towards the Manitoba border.

Continuing on with the rest of the week Fulton says the storm should end on Monday evening; however, "windy on Tuesday with a few flurries around and colder, high of minus 11 that's fairly cold for this time of year. Normals for this time of year are around minus five, running about six degrees below normal."
