Snow is about to fly in Humboldt and area.

After trace amounts were seen earlier in the week, heavier snow is on the way.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for parts of eastern Saskatchewan, which includes Humboldt and communities east of the city.

Lighter snow is expected throughout the day, with moderate to heavy snow moving in throughout Friday night and overnight into Saturday morning.

The snow will begin to ease once Saturday afternoon rolls around.

Approximately 15 to 20 centimetres is expected when all is said and done, which could impact driving conditions and visibility.
