A stabbing on the Kawacatoose First Nation has led to an arrest for a woman from the reserve.

Friday at approximately 11:30 at night Punnichy RCMP, Lestock Ambulance, Yorkton Forensic Identification Section and STARS Air Ambulance responded to a report that a 30 year-old woman had been stabbed.

She was transported to Royal University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Kayla Blueeyes is now charged with aggravated assault, assault with weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

She was taken into custody late Sunday morning at a residence on the Kawacatoose FN. 

She is scheduled to appear in Punnichy court on Tuesday.
